To enhance the company’s overall corporate image and cultivate employees’ cultural awareness, the Human Resources Department organized a unique business etiquette training session on September 9, 2019. The training featured Ms. Lan Feixia as the instructor; she is a senior domestic etiquette trainer, an expert in graceful posture and etiquette, and a specially invited lecturer for the Shenzhen Workers’ Cultural Lecture Series.
Through insightful explanations that draw on both historical wisdom and contemporary insights, coupled with vivid visual aids, Teacher Lan introduced our company’s staff to the theoretical foundations of business etiquette—its meaning, characteristics, and guiding principles. She provided a comprehensive overview of essential protocols, covering personal appearance and attire, appropriate conduct and interpersonal interactions, communication etiquette, in‑vehicle etiquette, dining etiquette, elevator etiquette, and telephone etiquette, equipping everyone with the skills needed to enhance their professional demeanor, refinement, and overall presence in a variety of business settings.
To achieve optimal training outcomes, Instructor Lan employed a blended approach—30% theoretical instruction, 5% case sharing, and 65% hands-on practice, scenario simulations, and on-site demonstrations—fully engaging participants and emphasizing key experiential elements such as listening, observing, doing, and practicing. The entire session was infused with enthusiasm, enabling attendees to master highly practical social etiquette skills while deepening mutual understanding and communication. The results were remarkable, earning unanimous praise from all participants.
Upholding business etiquette is not only a trend of our times but also a prerequisite for earning respect in social settings—and, more importantly, an essential practical necessity for enhancing corporate competitiveness. Mastering appropriate business etiquette, from an individual perspective, helps refine one’s personal conduct and correct undesirable habits; from a corporate standpoint, it not only builds a strong company image and boosts customer satisfaction but also ultimately improves both economic and social performance.
