Inverter Manufacturer: Precautions for Inverter Use and Application Scope

发布时间:2020-08-13

Inverter It is a device that converts DC electrical energy into AC electrical energy (typically a 220 V, 50 Hz sinusoidal waveform). Its function is the opposite of that of a rectifier, which converts AC electrical energy into DC electrical energy.

 Inverter

Precautions for Use

1. The DC voltage must be consistent.
Each inverter has a specified DC voltage rating, such as 12 V, 24 V, and so on.
It is required that the battery voltage match the inverter’s DC input voltage. For example, a 12 V inverter must be paired with a 12 V battery.
2. The inverter’s output power must exceed the appliance’s rated power; for appliances with high inrush currents during startup—such as refrigerators and air conditioners—be sure to allow for a substantial margin.
3. The positive and negative terminals must be connected correctly.
Inverter The input DC voltage is marked with positive and negative terminals. Red indicates the positive terminal (+), and black indicates the negative terminal (–). The battery also bears positive and negative markings: red for the positive terminal (+) and black for the negative terminal (–). When connecting, ensure that positive connects to positive (red to red) and negative connects to negative (black to black). The connecting wires must be of sufficient gauge, and their length should be kept as short as possible.
4. The device should be placed in a well-ventilated, dry location, protected from rain, and kept at least 20 cm away from surrounding objects. Keep it away from flammable and explosive materials, and never place or cover it with other items. The ambient operating temperature should not exceed 40°C.
5. Charging and inversion cannot be performed simultaneously. In other words, when inverter mode is active, do not plug the charging connector into the inverter’s output circuit.
6. The interval between two power-on operations shall be no less than 5 seconds (after disconnecting the input power supply).
7. Please wipe the machine with a dry cloth or an anti-static cloth to keep it clean.
8. Before connecting the machine’s input and output, first ensure that the machine’s enclosure is properly grounded.
9. To prevent accidents, users are strictly prohibited from opening the chassis for any operations or use.
10. If you suspect that the machine is malfunctioning, do not continue operating or using it.
The input and output should be promptly disconnected, and the equipment should be inspected and repaired by qualified maintenance personnel or a certified repair service.
11. When connecting the battery, ensure that no other metal objects are in your hands to prevent a short circuit and potential burns.
12. Operating Environment: For safety and performance reasons, the installation environment should meet the following requirements:
1) Drying: Do not immerse in water or expose to rain;
2) Cool: Temperature between 0°C and 40°C;
3) Ventilation: Ensure that no foreign objects are present within 5 cm of the enclosure, and that the other end faces are adequately ventilated.
13. Installation and Usage Instructions
1) Set the converter switch to the OFF position, then insert the cigar lighter plug into the vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket, ensuring it is fully seated and making good contact.
2) Ensure that the total power of all connected appliances does not exceed G-ICE’s rated power before use. Plug the appliance’s 220V plug directly into the 220V socket on one end of the converter, and verify that the combined power of all devices connected to both sockets remains within G-ICE’s rated capacity.
3) Turn on the converter switch; the green indicator light will illuminate, indicating normal operation.
4) The red indicator light is on, indicating that the converter has shut down due to overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, or overheating.
5) In many cases, the limited output of the vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket can cause the converter to trigger an alarm or shut down during normal use. In such situations, simply starting the engine or reducing the electrical load will restore normal operation.
Precautions
1) Televisions, monitors, electric motors, and similar devices draw their maximum current during startup.
Although the inverter can handle peak power up to twice its rated power, some appliances that meet the power requirements may have peak loads exceeding the inverter’s peak output capacity, triggering overload protection and causing the current to be shut off. This can occur when multiple appliances are operated simultaneously; in such cases, first turn off all appliance switches, then switch on the inverter, and subsequently turn on the appliances one by one, starting with the one that has the highest peak power draw.
2) During operation, as the battery voltage begins to drop, when the converter’s DC input voltage falls to 10.4–11 V, the alarm will sound. At this point, the computer or other sensitive electrical devices should be promptly shut down. If the alarm is ignored, the converter will automatically shut off when the voltage reaches 9.7–10.3 V, thereby preventing excessive battery discharge. After the power‑protection shutdown occurs, the red indicator light will illuminate.
3) Start the vehicle promptly to recharge the battery, preventing deep discharge that could impair engine starting and shorten the battery’s lifespan.
4) Although the converter does not have overvoltage protection, input voltages exceeding 16 V may still damage the converter.
5) After prolonged use, the housing surface temperature may rise to 60°C. Ensure adequate ventilation, and keep objects sensitive to high temperatures at a safe distance.

Scope of Application
1. Use office equipment (such as computers, fax machines, printers, scanners, etc.);
2. Use household electrical appliances (such as game consoles, DVDs, audio systems, camcorders, electric fans, lighting fixtures, etc.);
3. Or when the battery (for mobile phones, electric shavers, digital cameras, camcorders, etc.) needs to be charged;
